Anybody who has taken the trouble to work with pit bulls has found them responsive, smart, eager to please, tough, affectionate to humans (sometimes to a fault), with a terrific sense of humor, and will do exactly what they are trained to do, IF they are trained. I trained mine because I promised myself that I should have no dog until I can spend the time and money to have him/her trained properly. Exactly like undisciplined and obnoxious kids, an untrained dog that jumps on people and is unpredictable (read: out of control) is unlikable and a general pain in the toches.
I am convinced once somebody has had an ABPT for a pet or companion, no other breed will ever do.
